Question:
Is it the Sunna for the one who enters a masjid to give the greetings whether the masjid is empty or not; because we heard that the one who enters a masjid must give the greetings upon the Angels?

Answer:
The one who enters the masjid, if he finds someone in the masjid then it is recommended that he give the greetings upon them and if he does not find anyone in the masjid then he does not give the greetings; because he does not find anyone there to return the greetings to him. And he should not sit until he has prayed two rakats greeting the masjid, this is prescribed for the one who enters the masjid and wants to sit in it.
