Taken from the book 'Al-Imaam Ibn Baaz- Duroos wa Mawaaqif wa 'Ibar' by Sheikh 'Abdul 'Azeez As-Sadhaan, may Allah preserve him-: It comes in the biography of 'Abdur Rahman ibn Abaan ibn 'Uthmaan ibn 'Affaan, may Allah have mercy upon him; That he was one who performed alot of worship and was very devout (to Allah). 'Alee ibn 'Abdillah ibn 'Abbaas, may Allah have mercy on him, saw him one day and was deeply amazed by 'Abdur Rahman's devoutness and manners so much that he emulated him in good. [1]

Woman Traveling without Mahram to Visit Relatives

Is it permissible for me to go visit my sister who lives in another city and stay with her for a period of a week or more without a mahram (related male guardian)? What is the ruling? May Allah reward you.
