What is the ruling on wearing colored contact lenses for beautification purposes and following fashion trends; knowing that the price is no less than 700 riyals?
Answer:
Wearing contact lenses for a need is no problem, but as for wearing them without a need then it is better to leave it; especially if the price is expensive; because that can be counted as being the type of extravagance that is haram. Furthermore it contains deceit and deception because it makes the eyes appear in a way other than the way they really are, and there is no need for this.
