Hanging Verses in the Home and Masjid

Question:
Is it permissible to hand verses from the Noble Quran in the home and masjid? Is it permissible to write verses on the walls? Please advise us regarding this subject. May Allah reward you with good.

Is it permissible to hand verses from the Noble Quran in the home and masjid? Is it permissible to write verses on the walls? Please advise us regarding this subject. May Allah reward you with good.
Ruling:
In the name of Allah the Most Beneficent the Most Merciful, all praise if for Allah and may salutations of peace and blessings be upon the messenger of Allah, his family, companions, and those that follow his guidance.
Writing and hanging verses on the walls for reminders and benefit, likewise authentic hadeeth of the messenger of Allah , is no problem according to the most correct of the 2 opinions of the scholars if the walls are in a good place such as offices and sitting rooms, as for other places like the washroom etc. then this is not permissible. Likewise writing them on the walls for reminders and benefit in a clean place such as the office of sitting room and the like is no problem according to the correct opinions. As for writing them in a immoral and offensive places then this is not permissible or writing them with the belief that they will repel the jinn, or is a shield from the jinn etc. then this is also not permissible. As for writing them on papers and hanging them on the walls for benefit and reminders of these great verses and authentic hadeeth which order with good and call to it in which the intention is a reminder then there is no problem with it. Regarding the masjid then no, they are not to be hung in the masjid as this distracts the one praying, likewise they are not to be written on the wall nor hung on paper. The masjid is legislated to be free from writings and hangings so that the one praying is not distracted or made busy with other than the prayer.

هل يجوز تعليق الآيات من القرآن الكريم في البيوت وفي المساجد، وهل يجوز كتابة الآيات في الجدران، نرجو التفضل بالتوجيه حول هذا الموضوع؟ جزاكم الله خيراً.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، الحمد لله وصلى الله وسلم على رسول الله وعلى آله وأصحابه ومن اهتدى بهداه، أما بعـد: فكتابة الآيات وتعليقها في الجدران للذكرى والفائدة أو الأحاديث الصحيحة عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لا حرج فيه في أصح قولي العلماء، إذا كانت الجدران في محل ٍ سليم كالمكاتب والمجالس، أما في محلاتٍ أخرى كالحمامات وغيرها هذا لا يجوز. كذلك كتابتها في الجدران للذكرى والفائدة في محلٍ نظيف كالمجلس والمكتب ونحو ذلك لا حرج في ذلك على الصحيح، أما إن كانت الكتابة في محل يبتذل ويهان فلا يجوز، أو كانت الكتابة لاعتقاد أنها تدفع الجن أو أنها حرز من الجن أو ما أشبه ذلك هذا لا يجوز، أما إن كتبت في أوراق وعلقت أو في جدران وعلقت للفائدة والذكرى لهذه الآيات العظيمات والأحاديث الصحيحة التي تأمر بالخير وتدعو إليه والمقصود من ذلك الذكرى فلا بأس في ذلك، وأما في المساجد، لا، لا تعلق في المساجد لأنها تشغل المصلين، فلا يكتب في جدرانها ولا تعلق في أوراق، المساجد المشروع فيها أن تكون سليمةً من الكتابات والتعليقات حتى لا يُشغل المصلي بشيءٍ سوى صلاته.
